Self-Build Mortgage

Whether your building a Grand Design or a standard home, building a bespoke home can be a daunting experience with many parts to it. From purchasing the land to moving in, it is a long process and as the payments are released in stages, it can help you manage your budget along the way.

Things can change along the way and many clients may already own the land they intend on building on but we can assist along the way liaising with your solicitor, architect and the Project Manager.

No matter if you own the land or require finance to purchase, you would need to have planning permission. You can find out whether the site has permission already by reviewing this on Planning NI.

The Stage Payments are usually in the following format:

  • Land Purchase,
  • Preliminary costs, footings and Foundations,
  • Construction of the walls (Wall Plate Level),
  • Roofed In,
  • Internal/Final Completion.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments.

We offer free mortgage advice although on submission of an application this firm usually charges a fee. The amount of the fee will depend upon your circumstances and will be discussed and agreed with you at the earliest opportunity.
