For Women, the biggest claim made through Aviva was for Cancer making up 79% followed by Mutliple Sclerosis of which there was 6% claims made out of all their claims in 2019.**

For Men, the biggest claim made through Aviva was for Cancer making up 66% followed by Heart Attack of which there was 21% claims made out of all their claims in 2019.**

There are two forms of Critical illness cover, Level Term Assurance and Decreasing Term Assurance:
 

  • Level term assurance is when you make a guaranteed sum assured on critical illness.
  • Decreasing term assurance is when you set a sum assured and this decreases year on year.
