There are two forms of Critical illness cover, Level Term Assurance and Decreasing Term Assurance:

  • Level term assurance is when you make a guaranteed sum assured on critical illness.
  • Decreasing term assurance is when you set a sum assured and this decreases year on year.

With any policy created we review these regularly to ensure your cover is always up to date and cover any life changes.

In addition to these policies some providers also provide you with benefits free of charge:

  • A second medical opinion service in the event of contracting an illness.
  • Terminal benefit - You can receive your life insurance payout before you pass away if you're diagnosed with a terminal illness that meets the policy definition, and you're not expected to live longer than 12 months.
  • BUPA anytime Healthline - A Service which lets you contact a UK registered Nurse to dicuss any minor symptons, diets and healthy eating and general medical advice.
  • Conselling and Care Support - this service allows you take advantage of free counselling when you need it.
